In a distinguished gala evening hosted on Thursday, 20th of October, Porsche Centre Kuwait, Behbehani Motors Company celebrated an important milestone in Porsche’s history: the 20th anniversary of the game-changing Cayenne SUV. The event took place at Plot 40 in the industrial Shuwaikh area where customers and media engaged in activities that included a 360-degree video booth with a VR experience, while being surrounded by all three generations of the Cayenne.
The Cayenne, first launched in 2002, has reset parameters for sports-luxury motoring, setting a new trend that other luxury and sports car manufacturers followed later on by introducing a full-sized SUV.
First introduced by Porsche, the Cayenne established a new category of family-sized sports vehicles that attracted a wide segment of customers, enhancing the popularity of Porsche vehicles and paving the way for new models such as the Panamera and the Macan.
The immersive night included a celebratory film that highlighted the three Cayenne generations across 20 years, as well as an entertaining session of 20 questions, testing participants on their Porsche and Cayenne knowledge with 20 memorable prizes for the winners.
The birth of the Cayenne created an economic basis for sustainable success without compromising Porsche’s motorsport values and succeeded by introducing a completely new market segment to the line-up.
